*Source Control Engineer * *Location can be either Frisco, TX or Alpharetta, GA*
*Rate: $62/hr on C2C* *Scope of Work* - Creation and maintenance of a branching strategy that enables build versions to be defined and enforced. - Ensure that appropriate branching is defined and managed for development, test, integration,pre-production and production systems. - Ensure custom jobs and scripts continue to support development, deployment and release efforts with Git. - Ensure the complete and functional migration of custom build and source scripts from Subversion to Git. - Ensure the complete and functional migration of custom build and source scripts from CVS to Git. - Provide expert training to team members as well as documentation of all processes. - Support non-production and production deployments where needed during migrations and changes to - source control management platform. - Write custom scripts that manage the deployment of releases. - Ensure that scripts are tailored to ensure subsystem deployments are successful. - Solve technical issues by performing RCA, organizing bridges and coordinating development and devops - resources where needed. - Gather issues, diagnose problems restore non-production/production environments to working state. - Work as an individual with AP environment management, deployment managers, product quality (PQ) testers, development and devops. - Perform technical shakedown of environments as needed to confirm the environment is functional. - Assist development with subsystem problems in the development environments where needed. - Report out current environment status to management, DM and environment coordinators. - Attend daily 9am environment planning meetings when requested. - Periodically work off hours as needed when project needs demand it adjusting working hours to stay within budget. - Document RCA for issues to enable management to report on and solve systemic issues. - Review build processes for improvements where needed. *Skills and Experience* - Strong technical expertise skilled in problem diagnosis and resolution - Very good at finding and solving complex technical problems with minimal to no assistance - Self starter requiring minimal supervision - Excellent written and communications skills - Java programming background a distinct advantage - Experience of Chef and Urbancode a distinct advantage. - Experience with maven and maven proxies preferred. - Knowledge of IBM Websphere and IBM Portal would be helpful. *Technology Stack* - Git - svn - cvs - git svn - git-cvsimport - Bash - Jython *Manmohan Thakur**[image: image001]* Genuineit LLC *Certified Women Owned Business* Making IT Happen… [image: cid:image001.png@01CD0B34.DFB7EBF0] Ph: 713-234-5905ext :102 Fax:(512)949-5092 *manmo...@genuineitllc.com <sha...@genuineitllc.com>* *mohan.genuineit...@gmail.com <sharma.genuineit...@gmail.com>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP Workflow" group.
