If interested please send me your updated resume with the below mentioned details *Please share resumes to ch...@bourntec.com <ch...@bourntec.com>* *Role: Java Developer with Performance testing (8+ Years)* *Location: Indianapolis, IN * *Duration: 1+ year* *Must Have* - Strong java development skills but has experience with performance testing - experience increasing transaction time, ensuring an application is built to scale huge amounts of growth - this developer will receive a list of issues from the performance tester and will be responsible for figuring out the bottlenecks then coming up with the solution and doing the development work - they are working on the E-cliq application which is where the agents enter their new policies. 6 months ago this system was processing $1Bill in policies, today is processing $1.5Bill and it's only going to go up as more policies go into the system. They want to make sure they are getting out in front of any major issues *Responsibilities* • Collaborate with the Performance Test team to perform Load, Stress, Endurance and Capacity tests, analyze and report results. • Participate in Performance focused incident and problem management activities and resolving root cause of performance related problems, through tuning, changing operating system or device parameters, or even refactoring application software to resolve poor performance due to design or bad coding practices • Implement a process for periodically predicting trends from production data and anticipated development activities to refresh the performance testing portfolio. • Define, estimate, and prioritize the types of application changes needed based upon performance test results. Coordinate and oversee the execution of required changes. Personally deliver these changes when feasible. • Drive consistent metrics monitoring definitions between performance testing and performance monitoring in production to be informed by understanding of critical business functionality and service level agreements. • Report out periodically to stakeholders using dashboards or other available tools about the status of performance of the application in conjunctions with ATS partners. • Consult for development teams on future changes to ensure that solutions are optimal from a performance perspective. *Qualifications* • Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience, technical degree preferred. • Generally 8+ years of professional experience. • Understanding concepts related to (SOA-service oriented architecture) especially SOAP and RESTful services. • Strong background in first generation web services standards, technologies such as web services, and JMS web services. • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of DB2 a plus. • Experience with SoapUI or similar web service testing tool. • Experience with CA APM or similar performance monitoring tools. • Thorough knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies. • Thorough knowledge of diverse technologies and new technical architecture principles and concepts. • Thorough understanding of layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs. • Highly proficient in software engineering languages and tools; ability to develop on multiple platforms. • Thorough knowledge of a business function(s) and I/T industry business issues; extensive knowledge of business operations, strategies and objectives. • Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills. • Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills.
