*JOB DESCRIPTION* Skills Required: This contractor completes the following activities under regular direction: Provides senior level systems testing services for software applications/databases Translates functional requirements and technical specifications into test scripts for new development or enhancement projects for internal clients. Work with Developers / BA / PM / SME to develop test scripts and acceptance criteria Writes and executes comprehensive test plans, including those for functionality, volume, load/stress, performance, security, configuration, and business continuity. Test Plans and test cases will follow prescribed standards. Supports test environments, including populating them with test data. Testing API’s and automating the process. Analyzes project documentation written by other team members (includes the functional requirements and unit and integration test plans) to ensure the requirements are testable and the full range of system aspects are being tested. Analyzes input and output of test data. Identifies discrepancies between requirements and expected results. Documents exceptions in test log/exception tracking tool and retests. Recommends closure. Participates in Inspections and other meetings throughout product life cycle to identify testing issues. *Role Description: QA Tester – Job Description* Five years' software testing experience required. Strong written and oral communication skills Strong analysis and problem solving skills Strong attention to detail SQL and Database experience Expert knowledge of the following tester practices and concepts: Requirements testability Analyze data and determine discrepancies Determining test reusability Data set-up Documenting system test plans/ Developing scripts Inspections Manual Test execution Testing s/w in Agile development environment.
