QA Engineer Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 6-12 months. Face to Face after Phone This team is moving to JIRA so anyone that has JIRA experience is a plus. This manager is looking for a true Engineer not tester or analyst. Resumes should be at MOST 2-3 pages long. Local candidates or candidates that can drive for a face to face interview. Communication skills are very important for this team. In this role you will be responsible for the following: Designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining automated tests. Adhering to best practices and standards using JavaScript, VBScript, SQL, and XML. Conducting peer code reviews and mentor junior associates. Collaborating with other technical resources to suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards. As well as identifying opportunities to improve maintainability of automation platform. To be a successful contender for this role you must possess the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field OR experience that commensurate with education. 1+ years of software development experience using Object Oriented Language or 3+ years of automation scripting experience (non t record and playback). Quickly learns and applies new technical skills. Demonstrated out-of-the-box thinker. Solution oriented attitude in the design, development, and support of mission critical software. Works effectively in team role and as individual contributor. Understanding of HTML.
