Please go through the below job description and let me know your comfort and availability so that we can discuss and proceed further. *Title : SAP BASIS Consultant* *Location : Parsippany, NJ / Sunrise, FL* *Duration : 6 Months plus* *FUNCTION: * The SAP Basis Consultant is responsible for the conception, planning, setup, and technical support of SAP centric solutions as well as for their interfaces according to business and technical needs. This role will serve as a SAP Basis Technical Expert in IT Infrastructure for both the project implementation and production support of SAP system landscapes. *Accountabilities:* Primary responsibilities include SAP Basis administration and support, database administration, technical support, transport management, batch management and production support for SAP environment. Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting and refresh to ensure stability, security, recoverability of the SAP and related systems. Perform daily health check which includes checking backup status, system logs and database logs for any issues. Provide off hours systems support as and when required. As IT level-3 support for end user issues relating to the SAP environment. Perform root-cause-analysis, as well as performance management and optimization of SAP Systems. Automating administrative and operational functions to aid in day-to-day SAP system support activities. Proactively analyze SAP environment to detect deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Develop and maintain policies and procedures relating to information systems. Maintain technical infrastructure reference documents such as technical architecture, interface references, hardware and software assets. Management of SAP in FDA regulated and Sarbanes-Oxley controlled environment. *Experience: * Strong technical skills in implementation and support of SAP in a Unix/ Oracle environment Excellent technical understanding of SAP with a minimum of 7yrs experience in BASIS support One full-lifecycle implementations of SAP Experience supporting SAP and Oracle in a productive environment Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both independently and as a team member. Must be flexible with work hours to be able to support system maintenance and other off hour activities.
