Business Analyst

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*

   1. Responsible for acting as enterprise planning, procurement and
   logistics Business and Systems Analyst.
   2. Responsible for incident resolution and escalation related to
   application performance, replication and interface issues.
   3. Responsible for proactive solution design and process automation to
   mitigate root cause issues and streamline application performance.
   4. Responsible for coordinating and assisting with all enterprise
   planning, procurement and logistics applications deployments to corporate
   and fleet servers.
   5. Responsible for testing and maintenance of interfaces related to all
   enterprise planning, procurement and logistics applications.
   6. Responsible for requirements definition and functional application
   design, including user stories, use cases, wire frames and business
   requirements documents.
   7. Responsible for defining and maintaining unit, integration, and
   regression test cases and test scripts.  Ideally, through implementation of
   automated testing solutions or tools.
   8. Analyze existing customer needs and works with product owner,
   business users and vendor development team to implement high value features
   and solutions.
   9. Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to
   analyze information needs and functional requirements.
   10. Responsible for creation and maintenance of product roadmap and
   product backlog in coordination with the internal customers and key
   stakeholders.
   11. Participates in prioritization of product backlog to align with core
   customer needs and business value.
   12. Participates in design reviews and provides suggestions to improve
   usability, adoption and customer value.
   13. Provides functional leadership and customer/business user
   perspective to vendor development team members.
   14. Serves as the conduit between the customer community and the
   software development vendor team.
   15. Collaborate with vendor development team, IT Applications, Fleet &
   Infrastructure teams and subject matter experts to resolve application
   issues, and establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between
   usability and performance needs.
   16. Maintain effective relationships with user department personnel and
   vendor development personnel.
   17. Create and maintain functional and technical documentation and
   standards.
   18. Facilitates knowledge transfer to business users and application
   support team members.
   19. Participate in cross brand team meetings related to enterprise
   planning, procurement and logistics applications.  Provide Holland America
   Line and Sea bourn application information and perspective in these
   meetings.



*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:*

   - BS or BA degree in information systems, computer science, business
   administration or related work experience.
   - 4 to 6+ years of commercial or enterprise large scale applications
   business analysis, requirements gathering, functional design and
   applications delivery in a team environment
   - 3+ years of developing functional specifications documents and
   managing solutions delivery
   - 1 to 3+ years Agile (SCRUM) experience in a large scale applications
   development environment
   - Working knowledge and expertise with industry standard development
   methodologies (Agile SCRUM), industry standard project management
   methodologies (PMBOK, Agile) and industry standard project management tools
   - Working knowledge and experience with integrated testing /test driven
   development processes
   - Understanding of customer needs and requirements. Acts as the liaison
   between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
   - Familiarity with a product road map and product backlog
   - Experience working with product owners, key stakeholders and executive
   management
   - Working knowledge and expertise with multiple Software Development
   Life Cycles (SDLC) and industry standard development methodologies.
   - Excellent documentation and knowledge transfer skills
   - Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.
   Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to
   interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and
   subject matter experts.
   - Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities



*OPTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:*

   - SCRUM Master Certification
   - PMP Certification
   - Technical development experience or background
   - Working experience with multiple operating systems and scripting
   languages
