*Role-AIX Administrator * *6 months contract* *Location-Downtown Chicago… * *Interview Mode-phone and then face to face onsite * *Requirements-8 years minimum experience * A Senior AIX Administrator who has 8+ years of experience with AIX 6.1 and higher. The individual will be required to maintain IBM Power servers on P750 and P870 hardware, comprising 50+ physical/virtual AIX servers. The position requires the performance of patching/upgrades, troubleshoot performance problems, and understanding PCI standards/security hardening within the OS. This position will also provide support for additional Unix OS related matters, deploy rollouts for the production applications, recommend areas of improvement, create/lead projects, have excellent communications skills and be self-motivated within the enterprise environment. Extensive knowledge of performance tuning, VIO, lpars, storage provisioning, and network configuration is required. It is a plus if there is also knowledge of Tivoly TSM backup, Linux, and VMware.
