*Job Title : HL7 / Interface AnalystLocation : Nashville, TNDuration : 6+Months ContractRate : 45/hr on C2CSummary:* The clinical data Interface Analyst is responsible for the requirements definition, deployment, testing and support of interface and integration technology. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing day to day analytical activities including gathering user requirements, reviewing specifications with vendors, understanding HL7 message formats, testing interfaces, and providing technical support. Development, testing, and support of division tools such as scripting. *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required for the Interface Analyst:* Experience with BA processes and technique are required. Knowledge of HL7 and message processing is required. Experience with interface engines, scripting, Meditech and various other clinical applications and clinical operational workflows is preferred. Proficiency in various requirements gathering and documentation methods Knowledge of HL7 messaging standards Knowledge of connectivity tools such as HL-7 socket communications, FTP file transfers, screen and printer scrapping, and internet delivery Mature understanding of clinical application support processes and clinical data workflow Capability of organizing, planning and controlling projects and maintenance of interfaces Ability to work under severe pressure and periods of sustained concentration; must be able to cope with changing situations and have a receptive and retentive mind; must be able to shift attention from one subject to another Knowledge of planning and communicating the integration steps required for requirements gathering, requirements approval, development, unit testing, integration testing, pilot and go-live Capable of responding to complex problems in a creative, concise, well thought-out manner Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel verbally and in writing Must be able to consistently achieve high levels of accuracy in all activities *Preferred skills of the Interface Analyst:* .Net and XML experience a plus Involvement in the support of both purchased and custom developed software is preferred *Experience required for the Interface Analyst:* Minimum three years’ experience in interface design and support (cloverleaf experience preferred) Minimum 5 years of overall experience in Information Services.
