Develops information and data architecture practices using industry-proven
frameworks and methodologies. Provides thought leadership on advanced and
emerging architecture and technology trends. Translates HSB, MRAm and MR
business and IT strategies into reference architectures and actionable
architecture guidance (policies, principles, standards, guidelines).
Maintains data store inventories, road maps and rationalization plans.
Develops and maintains the information and data architectures for HSB’s
Integrated Business Platform. Partners with Lead Business Architect to
define data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between
those data. Member of the HSB Architecture Review Board (ARB) participating
in architecture approach approval process and governing architecture
certifications. Mentors, coaches and assists data architects in creating
actionable data architectures to ensure conformance, consistency and
quality. Assists data architects with enterprise impact assessments.
Manages the data architecture extended team.

Bachelor's degree in information management, computer science, business, or
related field (or equivalent work experience).

WORK EXPERIENCE
(No. of years)
7+ years of information/data architecture experience including 2+ years
experience with insurance systems.
10+ years information/data architecture experience including 4+ years of
insurance industry experience and proven track record of delivering
enterprise information platforms. Large-scale transformation project
experience.
CERTIFICATIONS / DESIGNATIONS /
SPECIALIZED TRAINING /
LICENSES
Strong working knowledge of information/data architecture best practices,
methodologies and models.
Certification in one or more architecture methodologies (TOGAF, Zachmann,
Gartner).
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Strong proficiency in proven and emerging architectures/technologies such
as data warehouse, data virtualization, big data/HADOOP and cloud
computing. Strong proficiency in open and de facto data
architecture/management standards. Strong understanding of data
architecture solution alternatives and vendor strategies
Proficiency in data modeling such as ORM, ERwin. Strong working knowledge
of ACORD. Proficiency in UML and similar modeling techniques. Working
knowledge of enterprise architecture tools (e.g, LeanIX, Troux or similar).
Significant experience with Guidewire, SAP and Microsoft architectures and
development platforms.
NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS

Strong skills in leadership, managing through influence, relationship
management, communication, presentation, and mentoring/coaching. Ability to
meet and coordinate multiple tasks and tight deadlines
Ability to function as a team member and work with many different
stakeholders at all levels
