Job description: The consultant is to learn data archiving software (IBM Optim) and perform data archiving for retired applications. This individual will work with application owners to gather and document data archiving, data retention, and reporting requirements; design and implement data archiving plans; develop reports from archived data; maintain and manage access to archived data. Requirements: The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include: • Experience of Oracle, SQL Server and DB2 database systems. • Experience of developing reports using SQL based tools, such as BO or Crystal. • Capability of developing Shell or Perl programs for data processing. • Proven analytical skills to properly evaluate and interpret user requirements. • Strong presentation skills. • Poise, maturity and communication skills necessary to represent the group internally and externally. • Knowledge Mainframe system is a plus.
