Additionally, the candidate should possess 5+ years of experience in developing stored procedures for Microsoft SQL server databases. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial passion for designing and developing innovative, high quality, high performance, maintainable and efficient Windows 2003 based back-end systems. The candidate will also need to possess an enthusiasm for developing tested components using software best practices and a previously demonstrated ability to strive for optimal results and get the job done. QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of application development with 5+ years programming in Visual C++ and Visual Basic, 5+ years MS-SQL Stored Procedures, 2+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-threaded projects (experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of degree). Strong communication skills are essential. GENERAL DUTIES Under general supervision, modifies complex applications programs from detailed specifications. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs.Possess the ability towork independently on most phases of software application development. SPECIFIC DUTIES The chosen candidate will join a committed and energetic software development team building and extending our Core Transaction Processing system. Using current software development methodologies and a variety of development tools, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to drive the direction of and participate in the definition, design, development and deployment of COM Component services.
