Years of Experience: 8-11 years of experience in the field or in a related area Job Description: DGIF is seeking a highly organized business analyst/technical writer to catalog and document existing processes and identify gaps and potential improvements. Initial responsibility will be documentation of the existing IT system development lifecycle and related processes. Qualified candidate will have demonstrated experience in observing user and system behavior, comparing the activities to process documentation, and presenting results and recommendations for improvement. Documentation must be clear and concise and tailored for different audiences. Candidate will be responsible for cataloging and managing requirements throughout the lifecycle and should be familiar with relational database and client server concepts. This position will work under limited supervision. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Additional Information from the hiring manager regarding the opening: • Initial task will be to document the existing IT development lifecycle and update or create procedures as needed. Documentation includes the developers handbook, software operation manuals, and operational procedures. A background in IT and the software development lifecycle is a “nice to have”. • Primary ongoing responsibilities for the position will be requirements documentation – describing what particular software does or will do. Documentation will be consumed by all users of software: end users, business owners, developers, and testers.
