Here is a hot requirement for* < IBM WebSphere Administrator - St. Louis, MO - 6 Months >. *Please let me know if you have any consultants available for the earliest client submission. * * *Position:* IBM WebSphere Administrator *Location:* St. Louis, MO *Duration:* 6 Months *Job Description:* IBM Websphere Administrator IBM Websphere Administrator responsible for the day-to-day operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and configuration of the application server and applications/ web services deployed within the realm of IBM Websphere 6.0/6.1 *Responsibilities:* - Install, configure, support and maintain IBM Websphere based application server farm in clustered and highly available environment - Installation and deployment of J2EE based web applications within - Websphere - Manage, implement & test Websphere upgrades, including impact analysis on new features, releases and patches, managing the upgrade project, including testing and Production cutover. - Schedule installations and upgrades, and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. - Monitors and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels. - Write scripts to automate day to day tasks, configure security within the application server environment as required. - Deploy and maintain web services based on SOAP, WSDL, UDDI etc within Websphere based environment - 24 x 7 on call duties. Must be willing to carry a pager at all times in case of emergencies. *Experience:* - Experience in IBM Websphere Administration using versions 5.1, 6.0, and (6 + years) - Experience in setting up clustered and highly available environments using IBM Websphere Application server. (6 + years) - Experience with J2EE application model e.g., EJBs, JSP, HTTP sessions, servlets, etc (5 + years) - Good understanding of J2EE 1.4 technologies e.g., JDBC, JMS, JNDI, JTA, JAAS, etc. (5 +years) - Experience with Websphere runtime topologies, Good understanding of HTTP server concepts (5 + years) - Experience with IBM Websphere Enterprise Service Bus (2 + years) - Experience with installing IBM Websphere application server in RHEL AS4 Linux based servers.
