Description:
Looking for a Strong Disaster/Recovery Business Continuity Analyst Scope of
Services:
· Redefine over all Disaster Recovery (DR) process.
· Increase overall transparency to customers of current ITD DR services
and costs
· Create Disaster Recover as a billable service as it applies to
business procedures within the Commonweatlh (ITD)
· Work with Recovery partner Sungard to create break out schedules to
accommodate current ITD customer base
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· The ability to develop, plan and execute IT disaster recovery tests.
· Coordinate remediation plans from audits (e.g. DR, HIPAA) across
data centers.
· Validate capacity requirements for disaster recovery across data
centers.
· Develops IT Recovery Plans, procedures and recovery team logistics;
distributes and updates plans to reflect changes (e.g. staff, location,
organization, home offices, recovery instructions, contacts.).
· Very strong organizational skills for maintaining current staff
recovery organization plans, IT recovery strategies, scripts, IT recovery
resources (vendor agreements, hardware, software.)
· Strong tape backup/restore experience and architectural
understanding.
· Maintain and administer disaster recovery planning tools and
repositories.
· Maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
· Conduct disaster recovery planning training for staff members in all
functional areas.
· Create instructional and informational materials on how to develop
and maintain disaster recovery plans.
· Coordinate the efforts of staff members in the development of
recovery plans and procedures for key areas of the Organization.
· Facilitate disaster recovery meetings and activities.
· Strong organization skills and technical team coordination skills.
