The system uses a Java-based front-end, communicating via XML with a Windows application layer. - Design, develop, test and deploy robust client facing applications in a web-based environment. - Primary platform is Java and candidate must have knowledge of integrating systems including C++ analytics, XML, HTTP and SQL. - Should be currently working on a Windows platform, but have experience with mixed environments. - Require interaction with end users, both while gathering specs and giving support. - This is a senior development role and as such the candidate will be required to work without direct supervision while still adhering to agreed upon project specifications and timelines. - Expected to participate in functional and design meetings and reviews. Essential Qualifications: - Strong Java GUI/Swing Development (5+ years) - Multithreading (5+ years) - XML (4 years) - Several years of overall experience in developing large-scale distributed applications - Excellent client-side Java GUI/Swing and graphics skills - Solid experience with user interface design and visual presentation - Practiced at multi-threading programming - Experience in designing for and testing under large data volumes and stress conditions - A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
