The individual in this position will work as a member of a global team. A high degree of working hour flexibility along with time zone awareness and consideration for cultural differences is required. * * *Basic function of work group:* * * SPS (SAP Programming Services) provides custom SAP development (ABAP, JAVA) and support for SAP instances used by Customer users worldwide. This includes: conversions of data from legacy applications into SAP databases; interfaces with non-SAP applications; extensions to SAP itself in the form of user exits; customized SAP reports; front end (End User GUI) configuration. * * *Required skills:* * * *Must Have Soft Skill Requirements:* - Must speak, read and write English fluently. - Able to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience. - Able to refine requirements from business end users, update technical design specification documentation. - Act as a mentor and focal point for more inexperienced developers. - Technical Analysis & Problem solving skills. - Able to be productive when working asynchronously with colleagues located around the globe. *Must Have Professional Skill Requirements:* - Extensive experience developing in SAP ABAP Languages & using SAP Workbench. - Knowledge of the ALE/IDOC/RFC system services. - Knowledge of Work Flow, SapScript, Smartforms. - Knowledge of Authorization Checks. - Experience with Dialog Programming, User Exits & Transport Workbench (Transport requests). - Knowledge of methods, processes, and techniques for delivering new or enhanced functionality. Experience with OSS Notes Implementation / Core code changes. - Working knowledge of other SAP Technology; expected to understand the end-to-end technical SAP solution, including impact to support teams (Basis, Batch). * * *Nice to have requirements:* * * - SAP R/3 BASIS and process/functional knowledge (at least one SAP module). - Knowledge of Screen Painter, ABAP List Viewer (ALV). - Knowledge of XI, Netweaver. - Working knowledge of security and controls requirements and SAP operational procedures. - Use of ABAP Objects / Object-oriented programming. - Prior experience with large-scale, global SAP installations. - Prior experience with multiple R/3 implementation types (FI-CO, MM, PS, HR, CRM, BW implementations). * * * * *COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT:* * * SAP BASIS Release (3.1, 4.0, 4.6, 7.0), ECC6.X, SAP Products R3, APO, CRM, BW.
