And, he/she uses deployed business intelligence capabilities to help business users analyze data and create customized reports and analytics. Develop a strong working relationship with the appropriate business users to understand the key business drivers and priorities Lead and facilitate sessions with cross-functional teams to reach consensus on data definitions. Develop data models to cleanse, interpret and reconcile information from various sources Develop data models to distill actionable information by excluding noise in the data. Develop detailed functional specifications and requirements for new reports. Audit and measure data quality with recommendations to reconcile. Create ad-hoc queries to augment existing reports using* SQL* and other tools *(Access, Excel) * Perform ad-hoc data cleansing, match, merge dedup operations. Document data idiosyncrasies and deficiencies. Provide analytical support to the general *BI* user community Educate user community on data mining techniques and best practices Ensure quality delivery of BI reports and operational enhancements Perform QA on new reports against underlying data for accuracy *Required Skills:* 6+ years of experience as an IT data analyst 4+ years of experience in the field of *business intelligence * 4+ years of experience in the field of data mining and analytics Must be skilled in SQL design/development, strong in *Oracle, Access, Excel *manipulation; Good with MSSQL. Demonstrated experience working successfully with business stakeholders and end-users Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment Software industry experience preferred The candidate should have prior experience working on customer data integration and management initiatives in a leadership role and have a good understanding of CRM processes, and reporting,* data mining and analytics. * Excellent analytical skills Excellent facilitation and communication skills and excellent team working skills Rigorous attention to detail and application of standards and process High self motivation and strong delivery focus Pro-active ability to work with business stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities Strong problem solving skills Experience with medium to large scale BI environments Demonstrate delivery of tactical solutions in scope of strategic vision and direction Strong organizational and time management skills Prior implementation experience (in a functional role) involving BI tools such as Business Objects to successfully solve real-world business problems a plus. *Basic understanding of ETL (Informatica / Data Integrator) Tools and Design for ETL * *Sound understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and solutions * Strong understanding of data mining and analytics principals and techniques.
