Participates in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution. Testing may include application, network, system and user acceptance testing. Good knowledge of information systems elements (hardware, software, network) and their application to business functions/processes. Responsibilities: We are looking for a Performance Tester to conduct performance tuning and testing for various projects within utilizing industry standard performance testing tools. The tester should be able to design/develop performance test cases as per defined non-functional requirements. Also, the tester will develop and unit test automated test scripts using performance test tools. Conduct a variety of testing needs such as end to end system wide testing and monitoring system wide performance. The tester should be able to document problems or issues utilizing industry standard tracking tools, and retest software fixes to ensure performance issues have been resolved. In addition, the tester should be capable of: - Identifying and analyzing performance degradations via metrics and charts - Recommend and implement changes to enhance performance test strategies - Simulate number of concurrent users appropriately per project needs - Design and develop load test scenarios to identify potential bottlenecks - Monitor systems and collect metrics during testing and determine degree of load/stress on the infrastructure - Communicate test results and collaborate with other teams to identify potential issues - Executing and comprehending existing scripts, in addition to creating them from scratch The tester will communicate weekly with management verbally and via written detail status report. Expand business knowledge on assigned areas, product benefits, corporate policies, division and department goals and department procedures. Continue to develop and maintain technical knowledge through training. Initiate, participate and facilitate project work groups (internal and external peer reviews, status meetings, Software Process Improvements etc…). The tester will be responsible for understanding requirements, developing test plans, strong knowledge in performance testing life cycle, writing test cases and executing test cases (GUI and Back End/ DB), understanding of the data models, reporting to the test manager.
