Role: System Architect Location: Chattanooga, TN Duration: 6 months to hire DUTIES: Viewed as an expert in IT systems architecture. Undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Makes well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous IT architecture issues. Coordinates with users to determine requirements. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for design team. Acts as a resource for direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff. Monitors project risks, schedules and costs. Responsible for delivering direction on the designs for a specific application or a suite of applications. The deliverable of the Design Architect is a logical (LAA) solution architecture for a set of business requirements that defines how the needs of an entire project/ program impact the applications within a department or across many departments. SKILLS: Specific experience as a solution architect, with experience in *Claim Systems and/or Healthcare, and mainframe architectures required. Experience with EDI, .NET, JAVA, WebServices a plus.* EDUCATION: B.S.
