Position Description: Experience Level: 5-7 years technical background
and 3-5 years directly related web experience. Description: Develops and
implements complex internet and intranet applications on one or more platforms.
Uses knowledge of web technologies, including C++, Java, Java Script, HTML,
CGI, XML, Perl, ASP, multimedia applications, database modeling tools and/or
database interactions. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web
site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and
cost-effective software/package solution. Researches and tracks new web
technologies, develops service applications, and analyzes business requirements
as they pertain to web-based systems. Responsible for system quality assurance
and consistency with installation and security policy and standards. May
provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
The Application Integration Engineer (AIE) is a core member of ISG's
product development team and is responsible for executing various software
development responsibilities throughout the software development lifecycle. The
AIE works closely with technical teams, project managers and software
architects to analyze application in production, diagnoze complex problems,
enhance existing application and perform various configuration management tasks
to maintain integrity of the application code across product releases. In
addition, the AIE coordinates with quality assurance (QA), configuration
management (CM), platform engineering and release services to plan and execute
software development projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
7 years software development/technical background Strong knowledge of
object-oriented analysis and design patterns Experience using modeling tools
(Enterprise Architect, Rational Rose, etc) to develop UML models MUST -
Demonstrated mastery of Java (especially JDK5/6) Spring MVC, Web Services, JSP
and web application architecture Good understanding of BEA Web logic
application server 10 features Experience of ClearCase as a configuration
management tool for complex application with frequent branches, merges, etc
Experience in unit and systems integration testing Strong ability to analyze
existing applications to identify problems using tools like Mercury Introscope,
Leak hunter, etc Experience reviewing team member's designs and code to
identify opportunities for improvements using tools like CheckStyle, Fortify,
etc Experience in working with teams on virtual locations Ability to develop
work plans and lead other developers in projects when required Strong written
and verbal communications skills
Preferred Skills:
Working knowledge of web servers (iPlanet/SunOne), general networking and
general knowledge of firewalls Experience working with Content Management
Systems like Documentum
Platform and Skill Set Expertise:
