Role/ Description
. Understanding existing business model and customer requirements.
. Understand Business Intelligence complete life cycle implementations.
. Installation and Configuration of Cognos 8 BI on a Distributed
Environment.
. Preparing design documents for Complex report requirements.
. Hosting daily scrum (Project progress related) calls as part of our
Agile development approach
. Administration of Cognos Access Manager and Setting up Cognos Audit.
. Implementation of user level, data level and Package level securities
in multiple Cognos deployments
. Helping developers in fixing issues during upgrading / migrating
reports.
. Administration of Reporting Environment and tasks such as Scheduling,
Deployment, Dispatchers
. Deploy Data from one Environment to Another and Migrating Cognos
content from series 8.1 to 8.3.
. Develop Complex Reports having many calculations, child reports, HTML
items, Java Scripts etc in Report Studio.
. Simplify the process of creating MTD, YTD, QTD, Daily, Weekly Reports
by using Relative Time concept
. Designed reusable reports across multiple line of Businesses and
support the development of KPI Metabase
. Understanding the Cognos SDK and implementing few advanced Report
customization techniques
. Implement Cognos proven practices like DMRs, Relative Time, Custom
Security and advanced scripting techniques
. Helping Production Support teams in Knowledge transfer and there by
solving production issues.
. Preparing Best Practices Documentation for Authoring & for developing
metadata models using Framework Manager.

Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio and Event Studio), Cognos Planning
8.2/3, Access Manager, Cognos Query, Transformer 7.1, Power Play, Oracle 10g,
