*Job Title : Java Swing Developer*
*Location : Calabasas, CA (Near Sunnyvale)*

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the team
in Calabasas to design, develop, code, and unit test user interface
for Avalanche product line. In this role you would take part in
Avalanche front end application development including, but not limited to
the following projects:
• Design UI task flow, logic and layout.
• Prepare documentation for marketing and engineering reviews
• Implement technical decisions
• Provide constant and regular updates on project status and
potential issues that may impact effort.
• Interact with test department on the results of testing
• Track and resolve problems in application
• Provide Technical and team leadership where required
• Other duties may be assigned
*REQUIREMENTS :*
5 - 8 years of software development experience in a similar environment.
• 5 + years of experience working as Java Swing Developer with emphasis on
usability
• Solid knowledge of Java Swing.
• Solid knowledge of XML parsing, DTD and schema.
• Excellent knowledge of principles of object oriented programming
and design patterns.
• Experience developing and maintaining enterprise quality NMS applications
(front to back).
• Networking knowledge/experience a plus.
• Development Tools (ANT, JUnit, Grinder, Eclipse, JBuilder, IntelliJ)
• Experience with Windows, Linux and Solaris;
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to pickup and contribute quickly.
*Some more details :*
The right person will have done GUIs on equipment. Test & Measurement
equipment is ideal, network equipment second, with phones, GPS, medical
or consumer equipment GUIs less of a match.
I think they will pass on people who have done GUIs for software
systems or something that was not a physical piece of equipment.
