This project introduces IuR over IP in all Ericsson and ALU RNCs in the
network. It is a logical configuration change (physical work such as
hardware and cabling should not be required) in the RNC as well in the
routers.
Job Description:
The project manager will be responsible for gaining agreement from
stakeholders and documenting a baseline plan, and then detailed tracking and
coordination of project inputs, schedules, resource constraints, and
project-level communications. The project manager will use the MPMO
(Mobility Program Mgmt Office) Management process and best practice
guideline to manage and product deliverables to support the projects on a
daily basis. These include:
1) Developing detailed work breakdown structure for each stage
2) Prepare project schedules using network scheduling techniques and
constraint optimization
3) Providing scheduling and capacity recommendations to Program Manager
and/or appropriate levels of management
4) Identify and report on risks and jeopardizes using the PMATT tool
(project mgmt tracking tool)
5) Ensure that critical path dates are baseline and managed effectively.
6) Host regularly scheduled meetings with the project team to provide
steering and identify latest status. Ad hoc meetings will also be required
as needed to support overall project objectives.
Ultimately, the project manager is responsible for all tasks that are
necessary to support the project and has responsibility for insuring
appropriate project team members perform and complete those activities in a
timely manner. Status reports on the projects will need to be produced in a
predefined format, on a weekly basis, and submitted to the project team,
MPMO Program Management, and others identified during project kick off/base
lining. This report will represent the weekly snapshot/progress status
report for each project. Executive presentations will be created on an
as-needed basis at the request of upper management
