Please find if you are comfortable with the given job need and send me your Updated Resume along with your expected rate for this project ASAP C++ / UNIX Application Developer CA *3-6 months CTH* Job Scope and Dimensions: This is a software development position for a Linux based embedded in‐flight Entertainment system. Candidates will be designing, developing and testing C/C++ Software applications. Candidates are expected to follow Thales Software Development Processes. Responsibilities of the Job: • Design and develop software applications using documented Thales Software Development Processes. • Develop Software Requirement document from high‐level Application System requirements. • Develop Software Test and Design documents for Thales IFE Applications. • Design and develop Thales IFE Applications. • Perform Unit and Integration tests of Thales IFE Applications and provide appropriate reports as requested. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues and defects in Thales IFE Applications. • Provide status updates to Thales manager, as and when requested. Experience: • Minimum 5 years experience developing C/C++ software on Linux/Unix environment. • Must be experienced in developing software using Linux command line editors (vi or equivalent) and build tools (make, gcc, gdb). • Must have strong C++ software development/debugging skills. • Must have experience developing and documenting object oriented software architectures and designs. • Must have extensive experience developing software for Linux based embedded systems. • Strong communication skills ‐ written and verbal. Desired Technical Skill Sets (Minimum Required): • C++ software Development • Linux application development Additional Technical Skill Sets (Preferred): • Java • MySQL or other RDBMS exposure • Security protocols and data‐encryption standards (SSL) • Familiarity with networking protocols like SMTP, TCP/IP, VLAN and VPN Regards...!!
