Project Information:
Series of Systems that are critical to the business, built ad
hoc in VB6
Enables client to run promotions around product launches
Systems coordinate the delivery of promotional goods to the end
stores
A group in FL lead by a 60 year old developer built the current
solution
Deciding between .NET or SAP and ABAP
Organization is structured around brands that act as sand alone
companies
Need a couple of warm bodies to work with the existing code to
stabilizing and enhancing it
VB6 will be done on a day to day basis but .NET will be more
important in the long run
This is the assessment phase
Architect the future state solution
Put the Band-Aids on the app to hobble along for now while IT
evaluates the re-architecting of the solutions
We need to find 5 developers that fit this bill
