Job Description:Data Analyst
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Herndon, VA
Rate: DOE/HR (Negotiable)
*Technical Support position in the Business Operations environment. They are
a liaison between Operations and Technology, and will be responsible for
many facets of Business Ops production support including; Data Modifications
(DBMods), Implementation validation & shakeout, Issue and Problem
Management. Also need to work in a Shared Services role within the Business
Operations team to assist the entire organization in BOXI and Remedy
reports, Sharepoint Administration, and ensuring that production issues are
eventually taken care of through the Defect or Enhancement process. The
position will require some after hours and weekend support, and will be
required to carry a pager and be oncall.
Provide support to business users of proprietary or custom application
software. Answer technical questions, troubleshoot problems, and guide users
to gain productive use of software. May extract data, format and run
reports, or perform specific analytical functions using application. May
have substantial subject matter knowledge of business unit discipline.
• May support application(s) in production. Note interruptions or bugs in
operation and perform problem solving exercise to determine problem and
ensure continued use of the application.
• Track production issues and report periodically to group charged with
monitoring uptime and efficiency of production application.
• Work is generally moderate to high in scope and complexity. Knowledge is
applied to resolve routine to non standard issues, as necessary. Work may be
done independently or under limited supervision
Qualifications
- Must have at least 4+ years of software development experience
- Strong Business Objects skills
- Strong Remedy Skills
- SharePoint experience would be nice to have
- Previous Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac experience is a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills*
