The main focus will be implementing user enhancement requests for WFM (80%) and SWAC (20%) SQL, documentation (SRD/DDD) *From notes after conversation with hiring manager:* MUST have great communication skills They will be sitting on calls and working with users, design, documentation Oracle and Oracle PL/SQL- critical more important Java (J2EE)- adding fields and good understanding Java -GUI application- maintenance This position is for a Lead Senior Developer who understands the SDLC process and design, document and code. The candidate will work closely with the team manager learning their system and processes as well as working closely with the rest of the team consisting of 2 developers and 1 Business Analyst. Furthermore, the candidate will interface with vendors customer advisory board to recommend system enhancements. They will also support production problems and identify potential risk and work to find the solution of the problems for these applications: Workforce Management (WFM) is a scheduling tool for the installation of new customers and the handling of trouble ticket issues for current customers. The system schedules jobs based on skills, logistics, availability, and capacity. WFM gets incoming jobs from integrating systems (e.g. MetaSolv TBS for new installs, Remedy for trouble tickets and other internal applications). Switched Access (SWAC) is used to supply Interstate and Intrastate, Direct and Tandem Tariff Rates, as well as Local Recip Comp rates by combining Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG) and FCC/PUC tariff. *Duties:* Provides IT development support to an assigned application to ensure successful delivery of a project. Encodes, tests, debugs, and documents high-level, difficult, and complex programs. Develop complex applications or parts of complex applications or direct the work to build complex applications. Provide coding requirements for developmental projects which are large in scope and encompass many applications. Provide Level of Effort (LOEs) analysis as well as staffing plans to upper management on any changes or new projects that are large in scope. Provides code development and de-bugging for large projects with proficient software knowledge and extensive database knowledge. Design code enhancements for all development work for large projects while also inspecting the work of lower level engineers. Prepares programming specifications and writes programs of a highly technical nature. Provide technical assistance and mentoring as necessary for lower level team members. Develop and maintain software development processes and standards. Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for WFM (Workforce Management) and SWAC (Switched Access) applications. -- Many Thanks.
