* Position Description:*
*SAP Functional Analyst (OTC), provides expertise in all aspects of SAP's SD
(Sales & Distribution) aiding the implementation and ongoing maintenance and
support of SAP.
The SAP Functional Analyst will be instrumental in aiding the business in
supporting the current SAP implementation in the Western Hemisphere. This
position provides expertise in the SD module, providing guidance and
insights about the nature of and implementation of the SD module to the
implementation teams, end users, IT specialists, Systems Integrator(s), and
other internal and external resources.
This is a hands-on role in working with and assisting in the successful
planning for, setup, configuration, and fielding of the SD module.
As an analyst, the SAP Functional Analyst must have strong verbal and
written communications skills, and be adept at interacting with end users
throughout the life-cycle of the project.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Position will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and
support of solutions for client activities in various business functions.
This individual will work with Business Management and Executive Team
Members to design and implement business process changes by integrating new
systems and business processes with existing ones
Essential Functions:
Perform as a technical / functional analyst, ensuring day-to-day support of
existing applications.
* Explore opportunities to leverage SAP to design / configure new solutions
that add business value.
* May work closely with Business Management and Executive Team Members to
understand current and future business needs.
* Perform methodology steps and maintain current documentation.
* Estimate new efforts, define business cases, and determine resources
required from the business and IT to deliver the services.
* Meet with end users to gather requirements and understand detailed
business processes to ensure that delivered solutions satisfy client
requirements effectively and efficiently in the integrated system
environment.
* Develop functional specifications
* Communicate functional specifications for development by programming
resources
* Develop test scripts, execute, and analyze test results
* Proactively identify and resolve issues
* Communicate effectively with business and IT resources in a timely manner.
Exhibit superior verbal and written communication skills with all levels of
management, key business users and IT.
* Exhibit the ability to take initiative, work independently, and prioritize
time effectively to deliver in a timely manner.
* Follow existing change management procedures and ensure appropriate
approvals are obtained for all changes.
* Ensure training documentation is up to date and training needs are met for
both team members and end users.
* Ensure effective data management & reporting for functional area.
* Facilitate cross-training and mentoring within the IT team to ensure
effective support and on-going personnel development.*
*Must have:
* Good understanding of the sales quote, order, delivery and invoice
processes including customer master, material master, pricing, part
availability and invoicing
* Good understanding of sales pricing including complex pricing setup
* Good understanding of material master fields and their relationship to
sales order processing.

Configuration, testing and communication to the business of SAP SD
Configuration, testing and communication to the business of SAP SD
* Report design in SAP including queries and ABAP report specification
documents
* Be able to host training sessions for SAP users for SD topics
* Create and maintain training documents in both MS Word and Power Point
* Participate in SAP Help Desk support*
*Qualifications:
* Must be local to Houston area
* 4-6 years SAP/SD configuration
* Participated in the end to end implementation of at least 3 SAP solutions.
* Demonstrated problem solving / analytical skills.
* Ability to effectively manage priorities of self and others, create focus,
eliminate roadblocks, and use time effectively. Proven track record
delivering results.
* Ability to build consensus, share knowledge, and work in a team. Can think
strategically, design new solutions, apply knowledge to business solutions,
and communicate solutions to varied audiences.
* Exhibit understanding of business processes for Order-to-Cash and
integration points.*
