Tivoli Admin Location: WORK FROM HOME/REMOTE Duration: 6+ months, ideally
12+ months *Description*
Provide Tivoli Product Suite subject matter expertise for the customer’s
Data Center Operations and Engineering Team (40,000+ client endpoints, and
several hundred server endpoints). Example areas of responsibility include:
1. Provide technical support for Tivoli ITM, Tivoli Netcool, Tivoli
Enterprise Console operations and performance tuning.
2. Monitor ITM/Netcool/TEC environment log files daily for errors and
outages.
3. Perform ITM/Netcool/TEC application suite updates and installations as
needed.
4. Deploy ITM agents to client AIX, Windows, and Linux systems as needed.
5. Work daily with Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) to optimize
ITM/Netcool/TEC to meet monitoring needs.
6. Design/develop/build/deploy custom ITM universal agents to meet specific
monitoring needs as needed.
7. Work directly with customer Enterprise Operations Center (EOC), system
owners and Helpdesk to build custom monitors that result in automated
helpdesk ticketing, as needed.
8. Review monitors for effectiveness, recommend solutions for more effective
monitoring, daily.
*Required Skills*
• IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) 6.x architecture and engineering experience
• IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console architecture and engineering experience
• Netcool Omnibus architecture and engineering experience
• Netcool Omnibus probe deployment and customization experience
• Experience in the use of Netcool/Omnibus to monitor various event sources,
including snmp, and other vendor moitoring tools (MS MOM, OpNet, Big
Brother).
• UNIX/Linux OS skills including scripting
• Experience building, testing, implementing, maintaining, and managing
system and application performance monitoring systems for enterprise
operations centers.
• Experience developing application monitoring plans to support an
Enterprise Operations Center
• Experience with conceptual, logical and physical systems management
integration architectures, designs and implementations
• Experience deploying Tivoli Monitoring solutions to large data center
environments (40,000+ client endpoints, and several hundred server
endpoints)

B.S. with 5 years experience or equivalent.

Work 40 hours per week and be present during the core hours.
Must be able to clear a Background Check
