*Role*: Senior Java Developer
*Location*: New Jersey
*Duration*: 6 Month
*Required Skills:*
As a Senior Java developer, will be to working with the Trade Control and
Client Valuation team to deliver enhancements to the Trade Control and
Reconciliation system. Will have the opportunity to contribute to the
evolution of the system's architecture and technology, as well as the
continual improvement of development processes.
*Strong experience with a reasonable subset of the following:*
· 6+ years of experience designing and building applications with
object-oriented software development methodologies and practices using Java
and related technologies.
· Core Java (1.5+): Multi threading, concurrency, annotations,
collections, etc.
· Hibernate, Spring, Ant, Maven, Eclipse, Tomcat.
· J2EE, and related technologies including JMS, JSP, JSF.
· Relational databases and SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, HSQL).
· XML technologies including DTD/XSD, XPATH, Object XML mapping.
· TDD: Unit testing (JUnit / Mock), Continuous Integration, Agile
methodologies.
· Knowledge of & experience working with common design patterns and
industry standards.
· Strong communication, analysis and problem solving skills.
· Quick to learn, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
· Work well within a team environment, with minimal supervision.
· Be comfortable working with clearly defined project plans and be
comfortable contributing their estimates to the planning process. *
*
*Good to have*:
· Experience with Python
· Experience with processing MarkitWire/ SwapsWire (FpML, SWML).
· Finance (Rates, Equities, etc) experience preferred, but not
required
· Unix command line and basic scripting
· Experience with version control systems, preferably Perforce.
· Versed in different development methodologies e.g. Iterative,
Agile. Scrum etc.
· Experience working in global
teams
*Note: Finance Experience is required.*
