*Qualifications:*
- Minimum of 6-8 years of release and/or project management experience
- PMP certified
- Additional management or relevant leadership experience preferred
- Experience managing release risks Strong communication skills and
ability to manage multiple releases Strong initiative, innovative thinking
skills, and the ability to analyze details and adopt a big picture view
- Must be able to function effectively under pressure in the face of
rapid change, conflicting demands and crisis management Excellent written
and oral communication skills
*Responsibilities:*
- Leads release planning and rollout efforts for major, minor,
maintenance, and standalone releases Manage dependencies within and across
releases
- Manages all aspects of the end to end release process; Manages multiple
concurrent releases
- Establishes release policies and procedures that include required
requirement and release documents, and checkpoints established to guide work
through to completion
- Ensures teams follow the established policies and procedures
- Provides formal change management
- Establishes weekly release status meetings to track/manage releases
- Ensures early detection of risks and appropriate risk response strategy
- Drives issues to closure and escalates obstacles as needed
- Leads continuous release process improvement
- Identifies key dependencies and critical path to deliver achievable
release plans
- Maintains management reports on release progress and plans
- Lead other release managers and implement effective release processes
in the area
