I wanted to provide you with an update on the contract position below. The client is located in *Rosemont**, IL**.* Please note Career Developers or our client *will not be able to pay relocation expenses* for the candidate come to Rosemont to join the position….please let me know if you have anyone that would fit the criteria below please let me know…. The duration is *6-9 months*…this client does like to entertain a possible right to hire with candidates, but that is to be determined… Details: *Required Hands-on skills:* * * *-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, plus six plus (6+) years of Database experience developing enterprise transactional databases in an Oracle 10g/11g environment.* *-Minimum of five (5) years of prior database administration experience to include: data modeling, database design, relational database administration and writing, tuning and enhancing stored procedures.* *-Three plus (3+) years’ of experience working in n-tier client-server environment.* * * *-Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), PL/SQL, and Oracle Management tools.* * * *Technical Skills:* *-Familiar with other key technologies, including XML and Java.* *-Broad understanding of.XML.* *-Previous test experience in Oracle 10g/11g server environment.* *-Tuning and enhancing of stored procedures.* *-Conceptual understanding of overall hardware, software, and network infrastructure.* *-Familiar with performance monitoring tools for various platforms and ability to set up transaction metrics.* *-Knowledge of both Object and Relational databases.* * * *Communication Skills:* *-Good verbal and written communication skills required.* * * * * *Daily Duties will include:* *Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases with respect to validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation and statistical methods. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures and integration of systems through database design. Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of database management.* * * *-Lead the analysis of database requirements, including configuration, system, and scope of database. Design, review and modeling across platforms. * *-Design complex data models to support clinical data information management.* *-Architect and design of databases in Oracle 11g for transactional clinical applications. Build database schemas, write stored procedures and determine where the logic will lie. Database views.
