*Description*
In this position, the resource will be working on the next generation of
Cloud computing applications. The unique candidate will have several key
responsibilities- development of software for utility and cloud
automation, leading a group small group development engineers, working with
a global, cross functionality team to deliver a product, test planning and
execution.
The candidate must have an in depth knowledge of the technical skills listed
below. Also, there will be cross organizational/regional engagements
necessary to complete the solution in a timely manner. These jobs also
require that the candidates work with best shore teams in China and India
collaboratively. Due to the engagement with the best shore teams, these jobs
require developers who are willing to work flexible hours.
*Required Skills and Experience:***
· *Software Development*: 8+ years of hands-on software design and
development experience Java, J2EE and Oracle. XML including
development/maintenance of XML parsers. Expert troubleshooting, problem
solving and analysis skills. Experience with full software development
life-cycle, preferably Agile and/or Iterative methods
· *Leadership:* Able to lead/direct small team of software
developers
· *Project Analysis*: Experience at analyzing requirements to
estimate the effort of complex solutions
· *Communication:* Good written/verbal communication, software
change management, testing and code documentation skills
*Additional Skills (one or more a plus):*
· System administration skills with either Linux scripting
(Korn/BASH) or MS Windows
· Oracle 11g database SQL programming
· Understanding of VMware ESX Server management, VM provisioning,
security and automation
· Load balancer/firewall experiences - preferred Checkpoint or F5
· Perl
· Development of Cloud Computing automation
· Development of Order Management systems
· Able to take abstract requirements to implementation
*Primary Responsibilities***
· Software development: Take business requirements and implement
them using Java, J2EE, Oracle, XML and other development tools into a
product.
· Teamwork: Work with other software development engineers, both
locally and best shore, to implement features in a timely manner with high
quality.
· Leadership: Lead 1 to 2 engineers, either locally or best shore in
the development of a business requirements. Provide estimates to the time it
will take to implement the feature.
