*Java with Content Management* *San Jose, CA* *6-12 month contract* * * *Content Management Developer Primary Job Responsibilities:* The candidate will report to the Content Architect in User Experience Architecture. The ideal candidate should have experience in leading content management system development. *Roles & Responsibilities;* The candidate will be responsible for customizing a J2EE-based CMS system with minimum supervision, including Java coding, Web Service integration, JSP template development, system configuration and troubleshooting on server related issues. The candidate must also be able to administer the content management system, including database table design, user account management and workflow design. Some web development tasks may be needed, including HTML development, Javascript and CSS coding. The candidate will assist in estimating new feature requests and enhancement requests. Management may be remote, so self-starter preferred, unafraid to ask questions and pursue answers. * Position Requirements:* · Minimum *3 - 5 years of development experience with J2EE platform.* · Project experience with open source *Java technologies such as Tomcat, JBoss, Struts is desired. Web development skills such as XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and XSLT. * · Prior experience using *CMS software tools like Documentum or Vignette* is desired but not necessary. · Basic understanding of *object-oriented design and development.* · BA degree in related field like CS required or equivalent professional work-related experience. *Nice to Have Skills:* Comprehensive experience designing content solutions for consumers and businesses. Experience with front-end design and web analytics a strong plus. Ability to rapidly prototype designs as needed.
