Telecom/Network Support
Description:
The role of the Telecom and Network Support is to provide support around the
functions associated with telecommunications and network infrastructure.
Primary duties will include direct customer service as well as oversight of
related infrastructure cabling, phone installation and support, call center
management, invoice management and documentation related to internal
auditing processes and recording keeping mechanisms.
Additionally, this role will provide related support to the LAN and WAN
areas of then network infrastructure including assisting in the oversight of
circuit management, basic network equipment support such as switches and
routers, assist in the management of related invoices and documentation
related to internal auditing processes and recording keeping mechanisms.
Primary objectives and duties in this role include:
- Customer training and support related to duties of this role
- Telephone installation and support including break fix and relocation of
phones.
- Telephone installation in new implementations
- Management of phones through Centrexmate
- Management of voice mail
- Management of fax lines
- Management and support of call center solutions
- Management of invoices related to telecommunications to include audit
processes and accurate record keeping
- Manage of troubleshooting efforts through established agency processes
- Ability to work with internal and external resources including service
providers, vendors and sister agencies
- Familiarity and ability to support related technology solutions including
cabling infrastructures for both telco and networks including but not
limited to POTS lines, cellular technology, Smart phones, ISDN lines, DID
blocks, WAN and broadband solutions and basic network skills associated with
switches and routing.
-Experience with basic support functions within a call center environment
-Experience with cabling infrastructure and management of cabling
infrastructure
-Secondary duties will include support functions around LAN\WAN management
and therefore experience with basic Cisco networking including routing and
switching as well as basic skillsets around TCP\IP networking are required.
The contractor selected for this role will be overseen by the Technical
Services Section Chief and will be required to perform the duties based on
the policies and standards of this agency and the regulations under which it
operates
