*SAP BASIS Admin / Architect (Technical)*

This role will consist of a combination of responsibilities including
developing the SAP technical strategy, aligning strategies to business
needs, and providing technical expertise to contract staff supporting the
platform. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for achieving
expected outcomes related to overall SAP architecture, environment
planning, and optimizing Client’s investment from the technical landscape.
They will work instrumentally with contract staff to clarify work direction
to execute strategies, partner across the IT organization to align
strategies to release schedules, and serve as primary expert regarding the
SAP platform to assist with software assessments and selection processes.



*JOB DUTIES:*

• Responsible for developing SAP environment and architecture strategies in
accordance with the needs of the business and optimizing Client’s SAP
investment. Specifically, the responsibility will include the following
areas; •SAP Environment Planning including creation, refreshes, back-up,
and recovery •SAP Architecture Strategy outlining the technical landscape
and system/data flows within the SAP platform and across other platforms
•SAP Roadmap outlining the timing for upgrades, service/enhancement packs,
and implementation of new modules •SAP technical representative providing
expertise and deliverables related to vendor solution assessments
•Transport Management Strategy • Partner with Infrastructure organization
to outline overarching technical landscape across the following layers;
database, application, operating systems, and server. • Responsible for
designing and delivering SAP solutions that are aligned with business
requirements - Work with project management and project teams to provide
input toward resource requirements, incorporate technical tasks in the
overall project plan, and confirm technical scope ensuring fit of
requirements into SAP architecture. • Frequent contacts with various teams
to align strategy to business needs and project release schedules. •
Communication/meetings with vendor to understand and research: open issues,
new versions/changes, and enforce license agreements • Participate in Proof
of Concepts to determine project requirement feasibility • Develop/maintain
procedures and processes to determine what requires review with a
technologist • Owner of technical training documents for application
(contract staff owns completing the updates and maintaining) • Provide
assistance with research/escalate open issues, recurring problems with
application to determine resolution
