An ideal *Sr. SQL Replication DBA* should have the following skills:
*Position Summary:*
This position will lead and perform database tasks for the analysis,
design, development, and testing of SQL Server Replication in a SQL Server
2008 R2 installation.
*
Required Education and Experience:
** Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field OR 4 years
relevant experience OR combination of college education and relevant
experience to substitute for degree.
* 3 years of experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 RDBMS database
administration.
* 3 years of experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 SQL Replication
development and implementation.
*
Preferred Qualifications:
** 5 years of experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 RDBMS database
administration.
* 5 years of experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 SQL Replication
development and implementation.
* 2 years of experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 in a Virtual environment,
preferably VMWare.
*Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
** Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization
verbally and in writing; translates business terms into technical decisions
and strategies and vice versa.
* Experience in providing leadership to other personnel in a fast-paced IT
development environment.
* Strong knowledge or SQL Server 2008 RDBMS.
* Strong knowledge of SQL Server Replication.
* Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
*Essential Functions:*
* Leads and performs database development and administration tasks for the
analysis, design, development, and testing of SQL Server Replication in a
SQL Server 2008 R2 installation.
* Works and communicates with a Data Warehouse team to integrate the SQL
Replication processes with new and existing data integration processes.
* Works and communicates with the Development Database and IT
Infrastructure teams to follow best practices and implement the SQL
Replication processes in Development, Test and Production environments.
