Required Skills:
5+ years experience in systems development and skills/platform/environment
requested by FedEx management Skills and Competencies •
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer
service and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and manage
one’s time • Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in
production of drawings and models • Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new
hardware, or to improve its performance • Analyze user needs and software
requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost
constraints • Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment
functioning to ensure specifications are met • Design, develop and modify
software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to
predict and measure outcome and consequences of design • Analyze
information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and
layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications • Obtain and evaluate
information on factors such as reporting
formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware
configuration Flex developer with at least 4 (6 or more is preferable)
years of experience. Will serve as senior developer on a new Flex based
project. Will need to act as a subject matter expert on Flex, mentoring
team members that are new to the technology. Will be relied upon to perform
necessary research into the capabilities within Flex. Preferably has
experience with technologies such as Adobe Flex 4 or above, Spark
components Blaze DS, and the ESRI Flex API. Additional comments:
Communication and initiative are very important for this position.
