PeopleSoft Technical Content Writer
Location Milwaukee , WI
Duration: 6 months.

Description: General Overview: This individual is a combination
PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 SME and a Training Content Developer. Ideal
candidates will need to be capable of translating all the project
changes, added values and screens changes (from version 8.4 to 9.1) by
creating training materials and documentation (user guides, learning
aides, "What's new" and training material).
Required:
1. Experience creating PeopleSoft Financials training content for
enterprise use
2. Must be an expert in General Ledger functionality of 9.1 (80
functional/20 technical)
3. Must be able to create the content/documentation for the accounting
platform at Northwestern Mutual. This includes explaining the business
process, configuration and functionality changes of version 9.1 from
version 8.4
4. 5+ years of PeopleSoft technical writing experience (can also
include configuration)
5. Proficient with PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Presenter
6. Proven interview technique effectiveness
7. Ability to make the complex software and processes understandable
to variable audiences
8. Ability to work with minimal supervision in meeting deadlines (this
person will work independently)
9. Classroom training experience on PeopleSoft 9.1 Financial could
lead to more work
Areas of PeopleSoft knowledge required:
1. General - Chart of Accounts, single set id vs. multiple concept
2. Usage of Book Code
3. Journal Processing - Online, spreadsheet upload, combination
editing
4. Allocations, Consolidation and Equalization
6. Experience with General Ledger Inquiry
7. Experience with PeopleSoft Query
8. General Ledger delivered reports
9. Journal Generator to PeopleSoft General Ledger from other
PeopleSoft modules and high level subsystem reconciliation
Preferred:
1. PeopleSoft nVision is a plus
2. 5 years of accounting background very beneficial
3. Experience with Captivate and/or Lectora a plus.
4. VISIO experience is a plus
