Key responsibilities and tasks: Under the general guidance of the Chief, Global Infrastructure Services, and supervised by the Manager, Data Center and Server Operations, the incumbent is responsible for the optimum performance and reliability of the Microsoft Windows hardware and software infrastructure implemented at the client headquarters located in New York City, USA. The incumbent is also responsible for monitoring, performance tuning and capacity planning of the Windows environment including Active Directory, web,applications and data base servers, providing technical support and guidance to other IT projects that require Windows. The key tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to: Install, configure and optimize Windows operating system environment for Internet • applications, data base servers Perform needs analysis to ensure proper configuration of Windows servers • Provide technical support, problem resolution and monitor Windows system activity, • processor, memory and disk utilization, including maintenance and support of Active Directory Plan and implement appropriate steps to maintain optimal performance, security and • reliability of the Windows systems environment Advise management on the use of new technologies that may enhance the efficiency • of operations Manage accounts in Active Directory, monitor user activity, and perform capacity • planning Monitor and perform security and critical Operating System environment patches and • upgrades to maintain and optimize Windows servers performance Documentation, change control and inventory maintenance • *Minimum Qualifications (Windows Server Administration and Support Specialist): Areas of Minimum requirements qualifications Work Experience Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a large organization similar in size to UNDP * Skills and languages Proficiency in Windows operating systems (2000, 2003, 2008), VMWare, Hyper-V, EMC SAN installation, operation and maintenance, TCP/ IP networking, monitoring tools (Microsoft SCOM or similar), Service Center Configuration Management, Active Directory, data storage utilizing RAID0, RAID1, RAID5, Microsoft Office 2007 and later Working knowledge of FTP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, LDAP • Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Exchange planning and • administration a major plus Project management skills • Fluent in English • Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation, organizational and • writing skills • -- *-- Thanks & Regards Gary IT Recruiter HMG America LLC PH:732-645-1446 E:g...@hmgamerica.com http://www.hmgamerica.com/* -- -- *************************************************************************************** For all SAP related tutorials,Articles,Faqs,Tips www.sapbrainsonline.com **************************************************************************************** You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sapbrains" group.
