*Job Title : C++ Developer*
*Location : Newark, DE*
*Duration : 6+ Month contract *
*Rate : $44/hr*
Primarily C++ developer with solid knowledge of SQL (not specifically
PL/SQL as it is Oracle, and system is Sybase based).
Support and extension of existing legacy application. Clearance and
Activity to external Markets. Changes and Enhancements to existing
application. C++/Sybase, but will accept Oracle. Server Side Developer,
MUST have strong C++.
5+ years hands on development experience with C++/STL in Unix environment
· Solid understanding of OOD concepts
· Good understanding of relational database concepts. Experience
with development in the Sybase environment
· Experience with scripting languages, including Shell scripting
and Perl
· Practical knowledge of production considerations, such as source
control systems (Clear Case preferred), code libraries, documentation, and
software release management
· Ability to communicate with business and technical analysts
· Proven experience with supporting mission critical applications
in production and needs to support application along with few other members
(support rota based) on weekdays/weeknights/weekends including being
available for special weekend activities such as DR BCP tests, production
release etc
· Financial industry experience is a plus
· Java programming experience is a plus
