JobTitle: *Software Release Engineer
*Location: St Petersburgh,FL
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
*Required Skills:
*A Software Release Engineer supports application software build,
deployment, and configuration process. The release engineer works with
Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server (TFS) to configure the necessary
components in support of the software deployment process. The person will
be responsible for coordinating software delivery with application
development and IT operations groups and will report to the Release
Engineering Team Lead.
*Job Responsibilities:
*• Work with Development teams to ensure their code is built and packaged
correctly
• Coordinate with Release Management on timing of application deployments
• Work with Release Management to create production deployment plans
• Manage the software configuration process
• Perform issue resolution with application development and quality
assurance teams for daily build and deployment schedule
• Monitor all environments, and work with technical leads to troubleshoot
and resolve issue issues
• Configure server software such as Microsoft Internet Information Services
(IIS)
• When there are new releases, update builds, configuration files and
corresponding workspaces. Compare with previous releases and add/remove
builds so nothing is missed.
• Attend daily release meetings
• Support production environments and provide logs and other production
arificats to those that don’t have access to production
• Support IT Operation for Production deployments
• Stand up any environments (set up builds, deploy apps, troubleshoot
issues, and create appropriate tickets to resolve issues)
• Provide merging code support when needed
*Required Skills/Qualifications
*• Microsoft Team Foundation Server Build Definition configuration
• Proficient at other aspects of Microsoft Team Foundation Server
• Proficient C# development skills
• Proficient with Configuration Management and .NET configuration files
• ASP .NET, Oracle Experience proffered
