*Location: Las Vegas, NV*
*Duration: Contract or C2H (US Citizen or Green Card only)*

Key Points - MUST Haves
• Minimum of three years DBA experience with Microsoft SQL
• Performance optimization skills. Our client has no tools in place right
now, so DBA should know native SQL performance optimization commands.
• Backup and recovery (not necessarily disaster recovery right now) This is
not a development role.
Nice-to-Haves – Not a must
• Oracle experience (Micros Opera is the system on Oracle)
• Teradata experience (Client might eventually need a Teradata DBA)
High level DBA needed, casino experience is great, but not a necessity
Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for implementing technical designs and coding complex
database objects for n-tier applications and interfaces.
• Assist integration team and application team development/implementation
efforts that bring together members from multiple systems, teams, and lines
of business.
• Adhere to standards, best practices, product development processes,
technical design practices, and quality standards.
• Implement technical designs; apply sound judgment in assessing possible
solutions.
• Assist with coding efforts to develop and maintain applications and
interfaces that support business strategy and requirements with emphasis on
on-time business delivery, performance, availability, scalability,
security, maintainability, reliability, ease of configuration and
integration.
• Assist with production database issues helping to troubleshoot and
isolate issues to root cause and provide issue resolution by interacting
with senior members of the Database Development Team.
• Understanding of n-tier enterprise application and system integrations
development using Microsoft SQL Server.
Job Requirements:
• Requires an understanding of the software development process, including
requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies,
release/version control, and contemporary testing methodologies.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a
related discipline with an information technology focus or equivalent
experience.
• Must have 1-3 years’ experience
e with database maintenance, optimization and troubleshooting/support on
the Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 platform.
