Location – Detroit, MI**
Contract – 7 months or longer **

Test Specialist (IT):
The Test Specialist will ensure the successful completion of software
projects by ensuring successful quality execution throughout the software
development life cycle. The Test Specialist is actively involved in
preparation and execution of manual and automated test efforts, which may
include authoring of test cases and defining data requirements. In
addition, the Test Specialist may be involved in review of requirements,
defect management, and other test activities.
A Tester will be able to do the following:
* Manage defects
* Create a test table from requirements
* Coordinate with team as requirements are managed
* Build good positive and negative test cases
* Construct simple queries (i.e. PL/SQL)

Top Three Skills / Experience:**
1. NASCO Claims experience
2. NASCO transactions (HIQK, HURK, etc)
3. Testing experience
Required Skills / Experience: **
* At least 5 years experience on large test efforts as a Lead or Sr. Tester:
* Test planning, organizing, test design, and test execution.
* Development and execution of Test Strategy, Test Plan and Test Schedule.
* Supporting Test Lead by identifying risks and to develop mitigation
strategies.
* Ability to find, create or modified data to meet NASCO claims processing
conditions, testing methodology
* Defect management tools and processes.
* Practical knowledge and experience in all phases of software QA.
* Testing at different levels (unit, functional, integration, end to end,
regression, system, load and performance testing).
* Facilitation of User Acceptance Testing.
* Designing automation efforts for medium to large test efforts.
* Defining data requirements for test efforts.
* Data gathering for test efforts.
* At least 5 years experience with developing manual test cases.
* Creating manual test cases from Use cases, Functional specs and other
requirement documents.
* Communications skills:
o Excellent Written and oral communication skills.
o Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and
written formats.
* Participate in reviews of system architecture, and design documents.
Preferred Technologies:
o Web
o Mainframe
o Rational Tools (CQ, RQM, and Insight)
Preferred Skills / Experience:**
* Ability to execute test cases and validate on the NASCO system
* Healthcare background
Educational Requirements: **
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
