*Job Description:*
- Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a PHP
Developer to work with a talented team of architects, U/X engineers and
thought leaders to integrate and develop tools to assist in managing our
solution catalog.
- Contractor will be working on primarily new web development that will
be integrated with existing systems.
*Required Experience:*
- Design, develop, and maintain PHP and JavaScript applications.
- MySQL, Oracle, DB2 required.
- Design and develop reports.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Java or .Net a plus.
*General Duties and Responsibilities:*
- Design, develop, and maintain PHP and JavaScript applications.
- Design and implement databases to support Architecture Oversight
activities.
- Produce high quality artifacts including requirements and design
documents, patterns, and code.
- Experience with MySQL, Oracle, DB2 required.
- Experience with Java or .Net a plus.
- Design and develop reports.
- Work with other lines of business to share information and integrate
systems.
- Provide technical support for assigned internal systems.
- Develop internal blog posts on various oversight topics.
- Work with product teams on ensuring that the solution catalog is
up-to-date with products/apps and attribute information.
- Recommend system and process enhancements.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: *
- Considerable knowledge of structured programming technology for
structured language environment.
- Considerable knowledge of interpersonal skills/team building.
- Considerable knowledge of applications/development methodologies.
- Considerable knowledge of appropriate operating systems, programming
languages, and development tools.
- Skill in project management experience.
- Skill in operating independently.
- Skill in exhibiting solid analysis, decision-making, and problem
solving.
- Skill in understanding and focusing on the clients’ needs and goals,
establishing credibility and building relationships with clients.
- Ability to assess requirements, alternatives, and risks/benefits for
low-to-medium impact projects.
- Ability to develop a mid-size project plan (i.e., a plan that affects
a single system or family and multiple resources) using approved project
management software.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with
employees, clients, vendors, and the public.
