*SUMMARY*
Participate in the definition and pioneer deployment of the Global IT
application strategy. Work closely with IT Management and business
executives to integrate application strategy into the business operations.
The security risk level for this position is high; therefore, the incumbent
may be subject to additional background screening requirements.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*

*Design and Architecture *
1. Discusses requirements with stakeholders and formulates development
processes and plans for solutions to these needs.
2. Ensure designs are scalable, supportable and meets the business
needs.
3. Develops applications to facilitate internal and external goals of
the company and its various organizations.
4. Supports existing applications and provides analysis to improve the
system for security, scalability and other needs.
5. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including
encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's
application systems
6. Lead build vs. buy analysis

*Planning *
1. Assist with estimation of effort required to develop solutions that
have been designed
2. Work with project manager to help define the best order to develop
solutions
3. Work with QA team to help ensure designs are properly tested
* *
*Software Development*
1. Solve complex real-world business problems knowing when and where
to apply business process vs. the appropriate use of technology.
2. Work with development teams and IT management to set, maintain and
support the overall technology direction for the segment that aligns with
corporate IT direction.
3. Participate in application coding.
4. Build development plans.
5. Guide development teams through development life cycle.
6. Review Unit Test process and provide feedback and direction to
development teams on built applications.
7. Request for adjustments during Unit Testing for applications that
did not follow the directed design.
8. Support application fixes through SIT, UAT and Post Project
Implementation.
*Additional Duties*
1. Adapt, Maintain and support existing, complex application
environments.
2. Define, document and adhere to development standards.
3. Participate in technology strategy activities.
4. Microsoft TFS Administration and management.
5. Work with the IT infrastructure team as needed.
6. Support the OSK Project Methodology especially in the Software
Development phases of Technical Design, Build, Unit Test and Deploy.
7. Build procedures to support the methodology at a detail level
during the Product Development phase.
8. Work with non-FTE technical team members as needed.
9. Lead and facilitate continuous improvement efforts.
*BASIC QUALIFICATIONS*
· Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information
Systems or related field.

*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
· Masters degree in Computer Science, Management Information
Systems or related field.
· Strong understanding of business processes and technology acting
as a internal consultant on a daily basis to keep them in balance
· Demonstrated experience and knowledge of multi-tier and
cross-platform architectures.
· Must be self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible
team player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
· Excellent Team-player, excellent organizational, verbal and
written communication skills, proven track record of success, able to
multi-task and prioritize workload according to corporate priorities and
critical issues.
· Life-long learner with a thirst for technology having the ability
to quickly learn new concepts and software quickly.
· *Experience leading design and architecture for complex mission
critical applications. *
· *10+ years recent IT experience with progression in Microsoft
development technologies that include: *
Ø *C# development *
Ø *Visual Studio 2008-2012*
Ø *.Net 4.0 framework *
Ø *ASP.Net development *
Ø *Web Services*
Ø *Windows Forms *
Ø *Previous development experience with SQL Server 2005-2012 (preferably
using Stored Procedures)*
· *Experience with the following preferred:*
Ø *Web Application Performance tuning *
Ø *Microsoft IIS (preferably V6 or higher)*
Ø *XML, CSS and related *
Ø *Team Foundations Server *
Ø *SQL Server database performance tuning *
Ø *Knowledge of OOP methodologies *
Ø *ERP systems (Preferably JD Edwards) and related processes *
