*Java Developer *
*Location: Philadelphia, PA*
*Duration: 6+ months*
* The candidate must reside within 50 miles of Philadelphia. The client
requests they are local.*
The Application Developer will participate on a team of distinguished,
cutting edge software developers that develop custom solutions using Java
J2EE, XML, Oracle, and other technologies.
· Coordinate with a wide variety of development teams to implement
the most effective integration methods for a suite of custom SOA enterprise
service bus applications.
· Implement and refine enterprise level patterns and object that
comprise our custom Java J2EE SOA framework.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of team development
practices, such as continuous integration and code reviews.
*Required Skills and Experience:*
· 7-8 years software development experience in Java J2EE for
highly-transactional systems
· Experience with data layer and middleware software development
· Java build and code review software tool experience, such as Ant,
Maven, or TeamCity
· XML-based technologies (XML, XSLT, Others)
· Previous experience designing, coding, and testing functions to
validate large amounts of data
· Oracle stored procedures exposure
· Experience using JUnit or other unit testing framework
*Preferred Skills and Experience*
· Exposure or interest in data management and energy or utilities
industry
· Experience working with Sonic ESB, JBoss or other similar
web/application server technologies
· Familiarity with service-oriented concepts and web services
(SOAP-based and RESTful)
· Experience participating in teams using the Agile SCRUM framework
