*Job Title : UX Designer*
*Location : Seattle, WA*
*Duration : **12+ Months*
User Experience Designer
Looking for a talented and motivated user experience designer to work on
current enterprise applications. In this position, you will be working
within a team of UX researchers, UX designers, and Visual designers to
evolve the enterprise application used by retail and customer support
employees. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to help build out
user experience as a solid part of the product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
· Produce sketches, workflow diagrams, and wireframes
· Contribute to user interface design and development best
practices and standards
· Provide leadership in the area of application design, and user
interface innovations
· Work with the system architects and analysts to understand the
business requirements, and then work with the visual designers to define
user interface requirements
· Work with other UX designers to maintain consistency across
application(s) and solve cross-application design challenges
· Work across functional teams to understand business and feature
requirements
· Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features
by conducting/participating in usability testing and interpreting analytics
data
· Creative simple and elegant solutions
· Communicate best practices for design and reasoning behind UX
decisions to key stakeholders
· Present work to the user experience team, product team, and
executives for review and feedback
Qualifications / Skills:
· Bachelors or Masters degree in psychology, human computer
interaction (HCI), human factors, industrial design, or product design
· 2+ years of experience designing desktop and mobile applications
· Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and
analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interaction
design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and
varying levels of the organization
· Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and
enthusiastic team player
· Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple
projects in a fast-paced environment
· Fluency in best practices for information architecture and
design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
· Demonstrate a high level of accountability, initiative,
flexibility, and the ability to manage workload and achieve results
· Proficiency in design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite and
diagramming tools such as Visio, Omnigraffle, or Balsamiq
· A strong online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design
solutions is required
