*Job Title : Project Manager with Release
Exp*
*Location : **Portland, OR/Denver, CO*
*Duration : **6+ Months*
*Release Project Manager:*
You will have accountability to develop/define, publish and execute release
and deployment plans to completion. This individual identifies and arranges
for assignments of key resources. Ongoing communications is critical
including reporting of tasks, deliverables, budgets, and escalation of
risks and issues. This position is also expected to work with multiple
project/program teams to coordinate common issues, risks, action items and
serve as the lead for cutover/go-live activities required for regions
implementing Claims applications across multiple releases. The alignment of
multiple projects to release milestones will require you to coordinate with
Project Managers and Functional Leads from those projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Effectively manage and execute one or more releases simultaneously.
2. Define, develop and execute integrated release plans within team
structure and roles & responsibilities.
3. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Claims Sub portfolio's
project management capability by participating in the development and
improvement of processes and through sharing of best practices across
the PMteam.
4. Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure release milestones,
compliance deliverables and phase gate dates are met.
5. Communicate release status, recommend actions and determine
priorities with the Business and IT stakeholders.
6. Facilitate communications and interactions between functional
groups, team members, strategic partners and vendors.
7. Monitor the execution of RM plans and process, taking corrective
action as necessary to keep the Release on plan.
8. Reviews environment configuration management plans to ensure
availability to stakeholder groups' activities according to program
roadmaps.
*Qualifications*
*Basic Qualifications:*
· Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 4 years of
equivalent work experience.
· A minimum of 4 years of experience in project management.
· Thorough knowledge of policies, practices and systems.
· Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts,
practices, and standards.
· Full knowledge of industry practices.
· Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in
applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other related fields.
· Participates in internal and external forums to develop expertise
in project management methodologies. Applies concepts to resolve issues in
creative and effective ways.
· Applies IT methods or recognized equivalents appropriate to the
specific needs of the project/client.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Visio and
PowerPoint.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
1. A minimum of 4 years of related experience in conducting highest
level analyses regarding programs/applications/systems and making strategic
recommendations to management.
2. A minimum of 4 years of experience in development of new
programs/applications or maintaining and/or supporting existing
programs/systems.
3. Advanced knowledge (broad expertise or unique knowledge) of
policies, practices and systems; deep technical expertise in own area of
application(s) and broader understanding of all technologies.
4. Requires a high level of judgment and risk taking to make
appropriate decisions for diverse, sophisticated and undefined issues.
5. Requires significant complex decision-making.
6. Viewed as functional expert and leader in programming/analysis
within KP.
7. Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
8. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
9. Must stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the health
care industry.
10. Experience in successfully leading product release/implementation
and/or project management involving the delivery of IT Line Of Business
applications.
