Intelligence experience required.
Significant proficiency with IBM Cognos 10.x required.
Hands-on development and implementation experience of Cognos/ETL required.
Evident strong understanding of BI development methodologies, tools, and
techniques required.
Significant evident abilities when using the IBM Cognos Data
Manager/Decision Stream ETL process required.
Strong understanding of Data Warehouse processes and OLAP concepts, with
star schema data models required.
Previous experience performing similar BI duties in an Oracle E-Business
Suite environment preferred.
Proficiency with Oracle 11g Database required.
Proficient with Oracle SQL queries required.
Strong understanding of confidential business related matters and there
need to remain confidential required.
Selected candidate must have excellent customer service, interpersonal,
communication and team collaboration skills.
Ability and willingness to learn.
*Candidate Duties:*Develops Cognos Based Business Intelligence Reporting
solutions including:
Using technical skills and experience (web programming, reporting
applications, SQL, etc), works independently in developing timely,
accurate, and effective BI solutions—such as parameterized reports, ad hoc
data requests, dashboards, scorecards, custom web report applications,
etc.—for various projects of moderate size and complexity.
Develops and maintains intermediate level domain knowledge of key business
areas and a strong understanding of BI development methodologies, tools,
and techniques.
Works with business stakeholders to identify, scope, and document analytics
and business intelligence (BI) needs.
Manages personal report development lifecycle including Requirements,
Design, Development, Testing and Support.
Analyzes data, designs and develop complex custom reports and dashboards
using in-house reporting platform with little or no supervision.
Validates report results against requirements for consistency and accuracy.
Performs troubleshooting and analyzing data issues within reports
Assists related individuals and teams in the analysis and interpretation of
data.
Assists in the identification and resolution of data quality issues
(accuracy, completeness, etc.).
Provides intermediate-level statistical analysis to support information
needs of internal customers.
Assists with defining, developing, and propagating best-practice BI
development standards (definitions, methods, “look and feel,” etc.).
Maintains business related need for confidentiality.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
